Changes in Party Identification

Over at Political Arithmetik, political scientist Charles Franklin has an excellent post on changes in party identification over the last year. After analyzing just about every poll available, he finds that Republicans are down about 4 points, Independents up about 5 points, and Democrats essentially unchanged (see graphs). The post is a model of using political science in the blog format, so I encourage you to read it.
