Interest Group Conservatism
It's a rare and good thing when a journalist actually take seriously the ideas (as opposed to the predictions and soundbites) of political scientists. In the most recent issue of Slate, Jacob Weisberg uses Theodore Lowi's classic theories of interest group liberalism to analyze the current mode of GOP governance in Washington. It's worth a look.
