Palin's Colleges

Lots of buzz over the fact that Palin went to six colleges in six years. Does this matter? No. Sounds like someone who, like lots of young people, didn't know what she wanted to do or where she wanted to do it. She probably also felt isolated and lonely, since all but one of the colleges were far, far away from home, friends, and family. I would also guess there's a fair probability that she was suspended from at least one of these schools since this type of behavior isn't exactly a recipe for academic success.

But again, who cares? She was a young women from a very small town far away from home and on her own for the first time. Cut her some slack. Her record as an elected official and her stands on the issues are what really matter.

Let the Democratic elites attacker her running mate on the issues.

VPs don't count for much at election time, anyway.

Let the bloggers and gossips speak about this.

Prof Klinkner, I'm glad you weren't vetting Harry Truman for FDR. Now there was an academic giant.

John McCain graduated fifth from the bottom of his USNA class. I admit I would find him just a wee bit more compelling had he been the anchorman of his class; he must have messed up by eking out a few A's, probably in Leadership. Thank God for intellectual underperformers!

I really don't think you liberals want to go after Palin's college record. Biden's college career shows him to be a cheat and a liar, kinda like his pal, Ted Kennedy!!! And stupid to boot.

"At Syracuse Law School, it was discovered that Joe Biden got an F-grade in a class for boldly copying enormous chunks of someone else’s law review article.

Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr., fighting to salvage his Presidential campaign, today acknowledged ''a mistake'' in his youth, when he plagiarized a law review article for a paper he wrote in his first year at law school.

Mr. Biden released a 65-page file, obtained by the Senator from the Syracuse University College of Law, that he said contained all the records of his years there. It disclosed relatively poor grades in college and law school, mixed evaluations from teachers and details of the plagiarism.

Mr. Biden, who graduated from the law school in 1968, was 76th in a class of 85."

To paraphrase a friend, Palin is "promiscuous with her education," but that's certainly no crime.

I can remember when an educated president was considered a good thing. I have a Jurnalism degree from Temple, one of the finest institutions in the country for the major. Wanna know how much Poly-sci I had to study? How much math or science or world affairs? NONE. and I did it in 4 years. Can I be vice President?
