Things to Look For Tonight

In addition to the outcome of the races, I'll be interested in turnout, especially a comparison Democratic and Republican levels. In 2000 (the last time both parties had competitive races), Republican turnout (236,000) was about 50 percent higher than Democratic turnout (154,000). Like Iowa, New Hampshire is a swing state and if Democratic turnout there is substantially higher than Republican turnout, as in Iowa, that's another sign that the Republicans will face a difficult political environment come November.
