Justice Antonin Scalia is at it again.
"For Pete's sake, if you can't trust your Supreme Court justice more than that, get a life!" he said Wednesday, replying to an audience member at the University of Connecticut who asked about Scalia's refusal last year to sit out a case involving his hunting partner, Vice President Cheney.

I can't see this as objectionable in any way. Here in Washington Supreme Court Justices and elected officials rub shoulders all the time. In the past it was even more likely. So Scalia's right, especially as this was Cheney in his official capacity. Also, I believe Cheney won by more than a 5-4 margin. Am I wrong?
I'm far more concerned with Kennedy's concern with the good opinion of NYT court watchers and European judges.
One weird thing, I understand one of Scalia's best friends on the Court is Justice Ginsberg. Now what are dinners with the Ginsberg and Scalias like? "Is this French wine Ruth? California not Left-wing enough for you?"
"Certainly, Nino, but I must point out this wine tastes very different from when it was first put in the keg and has no relationship to its properties at that time."
