Roberts on Roe

John Roberts indicated that he thinks Roe v. Wade is settled precedent for the Court. No word on the reaction of James Dobson. My guess is that this makes it impossible for Bush to appoint anyone other than the most solid of conservatives to replace O'Connor.

Update: Dobson is scheduled to appear tonight on Hannity and Colmes. It will be interesting to see how Dobson spins this. Does he stay the course and explain away Roberts's comments, or does he blast Bush in order to send a message on the next SCOTUS pick and for any 2008 contenders? Tune in!
