The "G" Word

First Wonkette, then Ann Althouse, and now National Journal's Blogometer are picking up on the "John Roberts is gay (not that there's anything wrong with that)" meme. Could the Democrats be pulling a Rove? Since it is doubtful that anything in his record that makes him Borkable, trashing him in the eyes of Bush's conservative base might be the only way to stop his nomination. Or could it be some sort of ingenius Republican double-Rove? What better way to silence Ann Coulter and others on the right who think Robert's isn't sufficiently open in his conservative views than by making it look like he is the victim of outrageous leftist slanders.
