"When your day is done and you wanna run. . ."

The Kitty Kelley bio of the Bushes is about to be published and here's the first bombshell:

GEORGE W Bush snorted cocaine at Camp David, a new book claims.

His wife Laura also allegedly tried cannabis in her youth.

Author Kitty Kelley says in her biography The Family: The Real Story of the Bush Dynasty, that the US President first used coke at university in the mid-1960s.

She quotes his former sister-in-law Sharon Bush who claims: "Bush did coke at Camp David when his father was President, and not just once either."

When his father was president? Yikes! That means W. was doing coke into his 40s.

OK, the Swiftees are lying scumbags but this allegation is absolutely true? Dang, Bush did cocaine in his 40's!!!!! Nice to know you're doing your best to stay objective.

As a Kerry supporter and volunteer, I'm disappointed by this coming out.

It doesn't make the case for why W needs to be voted out of office and undermines any backlash against W for the swifties (independents I've spoken to think the ads were disgusting).

Although I am not a Bush supported (nor do I really like Kerry, but that's beside the point) I think the possibility that he has tried an illegal drug is irrelevant to his presidental ability or inability. People make mistakes, and if the mistakes are in his past and aren't effecting his ability to function, than who cares?

This is sounding pro-bush, and it really, really isn't. I would be saying the same thing if this was happening regarding any other politician. I don't believe that what happened in someone's personal life should be made into such a huge deal by the media... it's just frustrating.
