Bush v. Ike, Part II

It seems that Ike's son, John Eisenhower is endorsing Kerry. According to him, "Recent developments indicate that the current Republican Party leadership has confused confident leadership with hubris and arrogance." My guess is that his dad would have felt the same way. Ike believed in strong alliances, hated budget deficits, and was very, very wary of committing U.S. ground forces for an open-ended conflict.

Right, Ike, who commanded the armies that crushed fascism in Europe, would have been horrified by the falange that has captured today's GOP.
