New Addition: Dara Strolovitch

I'm happy to announce that Dara Strolovitch has joined the PolySigh team. Dara received her Ph.D from the Department of Political Science at Yale University in 2002. She is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Minnesota. Dara has been a Research Fellow at the Brookings Institution and a Visiting Faculty Fellow at Georgetown's Center for Democracy and the Third Sector. She has published articles in the American Journal of Sociology, the National Women's Studies Association Journal, and Social Science Quarterly, as well as an entry on "Poverty in Politics and Policy" for the forthcoming Encyclopedia of Poverty and Social Welfare (Gwendolyn Mink and Alice O'Connor, eds., ABC-Clio Publishers). Her work has received awards from the Midwest Political Science Association, the Race, Ethnicity and Politics Organized Section of the American Political Science Association (APSA), and the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA). Dara's research and teaching focus on interest groups and social movements in the US, and the politics of race, class, gender, and sexuality.
