In a development not unrelated to the subject of the previous entry, the money given by Californians to John Kerry has set a new record for the amount given by residents of a single state to a candidate. More than one in five of his donations over $200 came from the Golden State.
The top two California employers for Kerry donations were the University of California and Stanford University. Imagine that! (The News Corporation -- i.e., Rupert Murdoch's holdings -- ranked sixth).
